When ordering, all you need to specify:
- School: Abbot’s Lea School
- Key Stage
- Boy or Girl (if students class themselves as “other”, they can choose either boy or girl uniform items)
- Size
- Quantity of items you require

As we strive to maintain a sense of unity and discipline within our school community, all students must adhere to the uniform policy.
To ensure clarity, please pay due regard to what is expected and what is optional:
Primary Department
Early Years and Key Stage 1
Expected:
– Blue polo shirt with school logo
– Navy blue jumper or cardigan with school logo
– Navy joggers
– Black school shoes or all-black trainers (no sandals or flipflops)
Optional:
– ALS Tartan skirt
– Charcoal formal summer shorts
– Gingham sky blue summer dress
– Navy jacket with school logo
– Navy two-piece waterproof suit with school logo
– Book bag with school logo
Key Stage 2
Expected:
– Blue polo shirt with school logo
– Navy blue jumper or cardigan with school logo
– Charcoal trousers or ALS tartan skirt
– Black school shoes or all-black trainers (no sandals or flipflops)

SECONDARY DEPPARTMENT
Key Stage 3 and 4
Expected:
– Blue shirt with school tie

– School jumper or cardigan with school logo (to be worn under the blazer)
– Charcoal trousers or ALS tartan skirt
– Black shoes or all-black trainers (no sandals or flipflops)
Optional:

Key Stage 5
Expected:
– White shirt or blouse with school tie, or white polo shirt with school logo
– Black formal trousers or black knee length skirt
– Plain black blazer or plain black pullover jumper
– Black shoes or all-black trainers (no sandals or flipflops)
Optional:
– Black formal summer shorts
– Navy jacket with school logo
– Navy two-piece waterproof suit with school logo

PE Kit for all Key Stages
Expected:
– White polo shirt
– Navy or black PE shorts (navy only from September 2024)
– Navy or black training track pants (navy only from September 2024)
– Navy or black PE leggings (navy only from September 2024)
– Trainers (white, navy or black)
– Swimming (where applicable): swim suit and towel
Jewellery
Students are not to wear jewellery, but may wear a watch, one pair of stud earrings and any items relating to their religion e.g. a cross and chain, metal Kara etc. Students will be required to remove body piercing items (other than stud earrings) during PE, as they can cause injury in rough games.
Wellies and wetsuits
We ensure that there are numerous oportunities for students to learn outdoors. However, for certain age group and certain activities this can mean getting messy! Your class team will advise you whether your child should also bring to school a spare pair of wellies and waterproof clothing.

Pre-loved uniform
We have a large stock of pre-loved uniform. Please contact your class team if you wish to have some of this uniform (for free).
If your child comes to the end of using something for school and it is still in very good condition, please consider donating to our pre-loved uniform shop by sending such items in, washed, to your child’s class team.
